The English call it Sou'wester, in Norway it is called Sydvest - and in Germany it is a Südwester. Our weather cap "Fiete" with its extra wide brim holds the outflowing rainwater at a sufficient distance from the collar. So no cold raindrops will flow into the collar and down your neck. In addition to that, such a Sou'wester made of vinyl is also quite fashionable!
Practical rain hat
Our Sou'wester "Fiete" is based on the practical rain hats, as they are still worn by sailors today. Our water-repellent vinyl material is ideal for this type of rain protection. Due to the extra-wide brim, which extends over the back of the neck and is pushed up at the front, the rainwater flows away with sufficient distance from the collar. Two binding strings ensure sufficient storm protection.
"Fiete" is available either as a large or as a small version. In addition, a bi-colored variant is possible.
Material & Color: Inside and outside vinyl fabric 342g/m² (100% Polyurethane), 300g/m² (77% Polyester, 23 % PVC) or 200g/m² (80% Polyethurane, 20% Polyester) according to our color range. Other materials or lining options available on request.
