Raincoat “Gunnar” is one of the most distinctive and elaborate coat designs in the RIMO Fashion range. This long men’s vinyl raincoat combines a single-breasted raglan cut with a concealed button placket, a high-closing double-breasted cape-style front panel and an exceptionally bold shoulder section. The result is a coat with a strong trench-coat character, a powerful silhouette and a highly recognisable look.

Design & cut

Gunnar is designed as a long raincoat with a clear, architectural silhouette. The actual coat body is cut as a single-breasted raglan coat and closes with a concealed button placket. Above it sits the distinctive double-breasted cape-style panel, which can be buttoned high up and gives the coat its unmistakable trench-inspired character.

The wide shoulder straps and the continuing back yoke create a strong, almost sculptural shoulder line. This makes Gunnar visually more expressive than a classic trench coat and gives the design its unmistakable presence.

Wearing options

Gunnar is especially effective when worn in different ways. For a more relaxed look, the main coat can be left open while the upper cape panel remains closed with two or three rows of buttons. Fully closed, the coat becomes a highly protective and impressive raincoat with a dramatic high collar and strong weatherwear character.

The front cape panel continues into the back and forms a pronounced back yoke. Below it, the coat features a deep buttoned walking pleat. This pleat can be worn closed or opened, adding extra movement and changing the appearance of the coat from the back.

Collar, throat strap & hood

Gunnar is equipped with a small collar strap and an additional larger throat strap. In wet or windy weather, the large throat strap can be closed high around the neck for extra protection. The model can also be worn with a simple button-on hood, turning Gunnar into an even more weatherproof statement raincoat.

Length & sizing

The standard coat length is approximately 135 cm. Other lengths are possible for an additional charge or on request. For sizing, please refer to our size chart. Custom sizes outside our standard size range and made-to-measure orders are available for an additional charge.

Material & lining

Gunnar can be made from different vinyl materials according to the available colour palette, for example 342 g/m² vinyl, 300 g/m² vinyl or 200 g/m² vinyl. As standard, the coat is lined with polyester taffeta. Optional linings such as soft PVC, nylon, 200 g/m² vinyl or latex lining are also possible for an additional charge.
